I decided to start off the year with some speed-painted portraits of my horses, spending no more than an hour on each — although I'll admit I spent closer to two hours on this one, because I couldn't get the mouth looking right (I abandoned his mouth in the end). Basically I'll be painting a bunch of headshots. I'm planning to do all the adults.

Discipline: ?!?! (Show Jumping and National Hunt Racing...I'm not into dressage, but that's really what his body type is suited for. Good thing he's a fantasy breed.)

I references several pictures of Friesians to get this looking the way I wanted it to. I think his muzzle is still too small, and I gave up drawing his mouth, but overall I'm pleased.

Photoshop, my friend. It's a fantastic tool. Photoshop, a tablet, and lots of practice. ;]

i have them all but do not know how to use photoshop but i use painttool sai!
