EDIT (2 weeks later): Fucking hell, really? Continuing the long chain of shitty things happening in my family, my mom just found out she has cancer. The prognosis might be fairly good (she's having a lot of tests done atm to figure out how extensive the cancer is), but she's going to need surgery, chemo, etc for sure. Uggh. There's not even anyone I can say this stuff to, that's why I'm just venting it here.
EDIT (1 week later): Thanks so much to all who stopped by and left a kind comment. I'm not going to respond to them individually, but I'm really glad to have you guys. My mom is now back home and doing alright considering, and I'm going to start working on some art again.
My mom attempted suicide yesterday, and is in the hospital. I don't really feel like working on art right now, so I might not be online or submitting art for a bit. Yeah.

Hello all! I know I've been away from HARPG for so long you probably never expected to hear from me again. I miss my horses and the community here, but coming back is daunting.
Part of the reason I left is that I had so little time free to work on art, between school and work. To hopefully alleviate that strain a bit, I just opened a Patreon under the name DeadBird.
As you may know, Patreon is a crowdfunding platform for artists and fans to come together. You can pledge as little as $1/month (think about it - that's only 12 of your dollars in an entire year) to an artist you like. Small or large, everyone's donations add up, helping artists
Seeking Akhal Tekes for breeding/stud lease
So, after some more thought, I've decided I'd like to have bloodlines for my planned new Akhal Teke foal, but I want to stick to the phenotypes I'm choosing between - that means either sooty bay (E_ A_ _Sty), sooty palomino (ee nCr _Sty), or sooty buckskin (E_ A_ nCr _Sty), all seen here (2, 4, and 6). That means I need a sooty parent. Their other genes don't matter that much, since I have a larger pool of non-sooty horses from which I can choose the other parent and the other colours I want are easy to find in the racing Teke population.
Since the breeding pool of racing Akhal Tekes with the sooty gene that I know about is quite limited, do
